Primary School Teacher

I have been a primary school teacher since 2011, as both a classroom teacher (in Years 0-3) and as a Music Specialist. I love working with children and have a particular interests in early literacy development and special education.

I first joined Auckland Symphony Orchestra in 2003 at a Year 11 high school student playing Bassoon. I played with the orchestra for 10 years before leaving to pursue further study in higher education and to start my family. In mid 2019 I found my way back to ASO, this time in the role of orchestra Administrator which involves Media Management, Concert Preparation, and Funding. I have loved the opportunity to regularly rehearse and perform brilliant music as part of a full symphony orchestra; the wonderful friends I have made; and to bring free live music to our Auckland community. My favourite memory with the ASO was performing O Holy Night with Reverend Ron at the annual ASO Christmas Celebration.

Beyond music I enjoy vacationing, history, cinema, reading, good food, and spending time with family and friends.
