Auckland Symphony Orchestra is a registered charity and an incorporated society. Our membership is 100% volunteer based.

The orchestra has over 80 members from all walks of life and ranging in age from 17 to over 80 years. New members are always welcome.

The orchestra's activities are organised and executed by a committee of members which is supported by many volunteers from the orchestra and their wider whānau. Guest conductors are brought in for each concert, and in 2026 we're thrilled to be working with local conductors Wayne Gao, Tom Chester, and Jono Palmer.
